The capital of Bolivia, La Paz was a place we were excited to visited. Filled with tradition its a place we couldn’t wait to delve into and get a real taste of Bolivia. So, making sure we picked the right hotel was important.
A 25-minute walk from the city centre, Casa Fusion is located in a quiet residential area next to the cabin car. If you like to explore in the day and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep away from the capital’s lively centre, this is the perfect place for you.
We stayed in a twin room and it was lovely. A nice sized room with double wardrobes, satellite TV, telephone and a private bathroom with a shower.
Danielle’s favourite thing about these rooms was they came with a fluffy carpet and central heating, which was a rarity in South America.
They have five different room types to choose from depending on how many of you are staying, all rooms have the same facilities and have a real fresh feel about them.
One of the best things about this hostel was the connecting bakery. Whenever we went it in was filled with locals and the produce was so delicious.
The hostel also offers free Wi-Fi, which was reliable for the duration of our stay.
The whole hotel had central heating so when you enter from a chilled night out in La Paz you are welcomed by a real homely feel.
Breakfast is included in the rate, cereals, a choice of eggs, toast and a selection from the bakery are available, along with tea, coffee and fresh fruit juices.
The reception staff were incredibly helpful, they had advice on the surrounding area as well as how to get to the famous attractions and what we should go and see.
This was a great place for us to stay, located close enough to the city for us to explore, in a safe residential area. The staff made the hotel even better, making us feel like nothing was too much for them.
Would we stay here again definitely; we need more orange cake from the bakery.

We came from Lake Titicaca by bus and it was a nice little adventure. We believed we were taking a normal bus journey so we were surprised when we had to disembark the coach so it could cross the lake on what was close to a raft, it was an experience. Don’t worry you will get a boat across and watch your floating coach from afar.
La Paz also has an international airport if you’re flying in.
As it is the capital you can get there from most places across the country.
