Vlogger Ed, has a huge list of countries under his belt.

1. What’s your best travel experience?

One year, my parents took the entire family to the South Pacific nation of the Cook Islands We arrived at the ‘big’ airport on Rarotonga island and we flew to the very remote and small island of Atiu.My dad had worked with the islanders to plan a surprise birthday for my mom. When we arrived, we were greeted with flower leis and flower hats. The motel there had three cabins and our family took 2 of the cabins. That night we were invited to the town hall where they had a feast. We had roasted pig and the islanders sang and danced for us -It was truly unexpected and amazing

2. What’s your worst travel experience?

One year my former employer sent me out on the road and it involved an around the world trip.Sounds fun but I had 2 weeks to do this trip.Leaving Seattle, I flew to Tokyo and then to Hong Kong where I spent 4 days. Then I flew onto South Africa where I spend 4 days. From there I took a flight to Dakar Senegal and onto Atlanta. When I got home, I was so jet lagged that it took about 3 weeks to recover. It was fun to see those place but 2 weeks was not enough time

The Cook Islands – Rarotonga, Atiu and Atiutaki – there is nothing better than being out in the middle of the South Pacific ocean on a coral atoll

I really want to venture to the end of the world, so in January 2017, I’ll be heading down to Cape Horn on South America – This should be a fun trip

7. How did you start to travel?

My parents are travellers and they had us on the road going here and there when we were little kids.In the 6th grade we flew to Mexico and visited the Mexican Prymids.

8. Where would you not revisit?

I’d not ride a horse in Fiji again -  One year I was in Fiji and my Dad was with me,  we were walking on the beach and a man with a horse came along.  He asked if I wanted to ride a horse and I said No,  but my dad said YES he’d like to ride the horse.  So I get on the horse and the guy got on the horse as well.   So were riding down the beach and he says “what do you think of Fijian women’  and I said ‘I guess they’re ok’  Then he said “I bring one to your room tonight’  I said ‘ No thanks’  and the rest of the time in Fiji I was paranoid that wed see that guy again.

9. What’s you most embarrassing travel story?

One time when I was in High School,we were taking the train from Vancouver BC to Lake Louise. We had a bedroom on the train and in the morning, I awoke as we arrived in a little town,I got out of bed and stood there in the window and watched the people pass by, I didn’t think they could see me.After we left the station, the porter knocked on the door of our room and said “put some clothes on if youre going to stand in the window”I wanted to dieha ha

10. Which place took you by surprise?

Hong Kong – I had no idea that it was such a modern city.   When I first went there I was in awe over the skyscrapers and the night time light show

11. Where wouldn’t you return?

Johannesburg – I went there on a company trip and everyone was so concerned with our safety that I felt like I was in prision. We stayed in a really nice hotel and they had instructions from the company that we were only allowed to go to the casino and the office. We even had a driver who would take us around. One day I asked if we could drive through downtown and they said it was too risky so I sat in my room and didn’t really see anything.

Delta Airlines had a flight that was 21 hours from Jonnesberg to Atlanta. The plane flew from South Africa to Dakar Senegal. We landed and people got off the plane, but since I was going to Atlanta I had to stay in my seat. They cleaned the plane, refuelled, new people got on and we took off for Atlanta. When we got to Atlanta, I was very tired from being on a plane for so long and then I had another 5 hour flight to get to Seattle. It was a long day.
